Snake
The Sign:
The Snake is the sign of wisdom.
Basic Character:
People in general look on snakes with some trepidation and consider
them malevolent. As applied to people born in a snake year, this
would refer to negative human qualities in terms of cunning and
deceit. Contrariwise, positive snake-year people are compassionate
and responsible characters with a mission in life, people who seek to
fulfil their destiny. Snake year people have a tendency to be vain with
an over conscious of perhaps over-done dress sense; perhaps this
may stem from the natural physical beauty which many of them
possess. Socially, snake people mix well with other animal types, but
less so with dragons, for the latter seem to travel on parallel but
divergent lines.
The Snake lover:
The Snake personality is described as careful and, true to type, when
it comes to the choice of a partner, these people are infinitely
selective. For them , only the very best will do. Elegance will be one
of the first attractions, but so too is good breeding and delicate
manners. And, again true to type, when they find the partner of their
dreams they will brook no opposition, allow nothing to stand in their
way, until they win the heart of the object of their desire. Then,
having won their prize, they become possessive and jealous, fearful
that it should slip out of their hands. Deeply passionate, these are
demanding lovers, highly sensual creatures, sexy in the extreme. Yet,
neither male nor female Snake could possibly be described as butch
or aggressive. The males of the sign are perhaps more inclined to be
part of the New man philosophy. And lady Snakes are ultra-feminine-
sultry, exotic creatures, femmes fatales, in every sense of the word.
Success and power will turn her on and she will probably make a bee-
time for the riches and most influential person she can find.
The Snake parent:
Because Snakes are such notoriously sensual people, they are likely
to become deeply involved with several sexual partners throughout
their lives. It is highly probable, then, that Snakes will find
themselves parenting a host of step-children from their previous
marriages. Lack of communication is perhaps the major pitfall of the
Snake mother of father but their marvellous sense of humour , that
ability to pick out the drole, the funny or sardonic side of any
situation, no matter how difficult, will bring them through these most
trying of moments that parents have to face, whatever sign their
offspring may be born under.
The Snake Child:
Snake children are, on the whole, late developers. Consequently they
need lots of encouragement to get started, to find their talents and
make them flourish. Ina sense they can be their own worst enemies
because they are secretive, prone to sulking when they don't get their
own way and seemingly unable to talk about their feelings or explain
their reasons and motivation to their family and teachers. Because of
this difficulty with communication they are frequently loners and as
such even more misunderstood. But they make good students, quick
and intelligent learners and very soon pick up on the fact that turning
on their charm makes it easier for them to get what they want in life.
Health:
Snakes suffer with inner turmil. Physiologically, the most vulnerable
areas of the Snake are the stomach and intestine and those born
under this influence are especially prone to duodenal ulcers.
Compatibility:
The machinations and calculations of the Snake will further the causes
of the Ox and Rooster, but Snakes are at their best when mated with
the Dragon, the Rabbit or the Sheep-all signs that tend to move in
powerful, elite circles. Snakes can get along with almost any Animal
sign, even when they appear to have little in common. Exceptions to
this are the Tiger, the Horse, and the Monkey. The Boar and the Snake
do not understand each other, because they are so completely
opposite in disposition and inclination.
