Horse
The Sign:
The Horse is the sign of refinement and fervour.
Basic Character:
Horse people have abundant bubbling energy. Those people of the
horse category less fortunate, have too much of this energy, making its
posssession an encumlrance. The cheerfulness and carefree nature of
horse people makes light of the hard facts of life the hard facts of life
on the premise that what matters is the quest not the quarry. To horse
people therefore the object of the exercise is to travel hopefully but
speedily, rather than to arrive. On the negative side, horse people tend
to be impatient and quick to anger. High spirited horse people are
eminently popular and are good mixers, although there could be a lack
of sympathy with people born under the sign of the ox, horse or rabbit.
The Horse lover:
When they fall in live, Horses seem to lose all logic, all sense of
perspective. Unpredictable at the best of times when theylose their
hearts, there is simply no telling what the Horse-born will donext. And
this is a pity because they do seem to fall in love easily-infact probably
more times than most other signs-each time repeating thesame old
familiar story, that THIS time it's for keeps, THIS time it really IS MR or
MS RIGHT, though patently obvious to everyone else that it's just
another mistake. Two reasons stand out for this apparent flighty
behavior. The first is that these people possess and extremely low
boredom threshold and soon get tired of the same people and the same
situations. The second is that they love their independence and as soon
as they feel a partner is making too many demands, or limiting their
freedom, they will kick out demands, or limiting their freedom, they will
kick out and rebel and then gallop off in search of pastures new. Age
eventually mellows the Horse and those born under its influence who
have not found stability when younger are likely to settle down in later
life.
The Horse parent:
Though Horses love their children very much they can find it difficult to
verbally communicate their feelings to them. Consequently, Horse
parents can often appear distant and remote from a child's point of
view. Not only that, but Horses tend to put their work first and their
loved ones second so that these parents may see little of their children
growing up.
The Horse Child:
Babies born in the year of the Horse make fiercely independent children
and because they want to go their own way and do their own thing, it is
very likely that they will leave home at quite a young age in order to
forge their own lives. Of especial note with these young colts is that too
many rules and too great a demand on conformity will make these
youngsters defiant and rebellious. At school their quick minds learn
readily. Communication skills and languages are perhaps their forte.
The secret of keeping Horse children happy is in keeping them busy
with plenty of hobbies and activities for their hungry and fertile little
minds.
Health:
The saying "strong as a horse" just about sums up this group of
people. Born with indomitable energy, Horses simply leave lesser
mortals seemingly mooching about on the staring line.
Compatibility:
Horses form the best partnerships with Tigers, Dogs, and Sheep. The
Dog will keep the recklessness of the Horse in check and Tigers will
stimulate their restless kinds. The Horse deals protective of the Sheep,
who does not mind the inconsistencies of the Horse*s behavior and
lifestyle. The Horse has a finely tuned sense of danger and can provide
excellent advice and counsel to the fiercer Dragon. Horse get along well
with Snakes, Monkeys, Rabbits, Boards, Roosters and other Horses,
because the natives of these signs never place limits on any of the
Horse's freedom. Rats and Horses suspect each other*s motives, andm
the Ox is far too methodical and rigid for any length of time.
Conversely, the Ox is in it for the long haul and characteristically
whimsical Horse behavior will cause any self-respecting Ox to break out
in a rash.
